Covered In Coal by Silla Webb

Covered in Coal by Silla Webb

Carly Jo Simon had her life planned out. She was going to marry her boyfriend Colton after she finished law school and have x number of kids and live happy ever after. Of course it did not work out this way..Colton breaks up with Carly....she finds out she pregnant....she goes to her “daddy'' who turns his back on her as well! Carly decides to leave town and never look back.
Carly returns to town 7 years to a dying father. Carly is left her father's business Coal Miner Company after he passes. Carly enters her first meeting with the coal miners and there he is the guy who has broke her heart 7years ago Colton Weston.
Colton Weston has a big secret and when he sees his only love his life is back into town he knows he has to come clean and win her back. He also know this will not be easy.
Will Carly allow Colton back into her life after her hurtful past?

I was given this book in exchange for a fair review

Silla Webb debut novel Covered in Coal, this going to be a hard review for me to write. First a debut novel hasn’t took me by a surprise in a while. Silla is a great writer. The way she pulls you in and then has you relax and then again BAM your pulled back in. I like her originally to the story the problems Carly Jo and Colton share is realistic and she pulled it off beautifully. Silla had a great skill will descriptions. For example if she talks about the beach, you can picture that beach so clearly.

I personally love emotionally packed novels and this is one, but this is so much more than that. This story tests you to sit back and think what would you do in this situation. I like how Colton was not portrayed as the perfect normal book boyfriend that so many other books have, Colton has flaws yet he is amazing and I guaranteed you will fall in love with him. Covered in Coal does have a cliffhanger but I believe in this story I understand why I can not wait to read the second installment of the Buried Secret Series by Silla Webb.

I give this book a 5 out 5 stars
